Our city was established in 1823 by founder Jeff Moore, who decided that the site would make an excellent position against attacks from local Native American tribes. In 1880, the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway built the world's largest individually owned rail yard in our city. This large classification yard is now run by CSX™. | |
